The Empire of Corwyth - coinage
Herein ye shall find how ye shall pay for all things able to be purchased, in coin of the realm.

The scudi: (plural scudi). The scudi is a small bronze coin with shield imprinted on its reverse side. This is the base monetary unit, and thus gives rise to the classic insult "I could buy your brain with one scudi and have enough left over to get a toffee." A scudi will, in fact, purchase one toffee.
The agnata coron: (known simply as the coron - pural coroni). The coron is a silver coin with crown imprinted on its reverse side. 1 coron equals 100 scudi. Lodging for a week is usually somewhere between 1 and 5 coroni. Average wages are between 2 and 10 coroni per week. The higher middle class professions can expect considerably higher wages.
The aureus fleurin: (known simply as the fleurin - pural fleura). The fleurin is a gold coin with fleur-de-lis imprinted on its reverse side. 100 coroni = 1 fleurin. Full armour prices are always in fleura.
The Ven-Toltha Regalis: (known simply as the regalis - pural regala - but who's wealthy enough to need to know? Only the very rich...). The regala is a gold coin with imperials imprinted on its reverse side. 100 fleura = 1 regalis. Palaces, castles and other extremely costly things will be costed in terms of regala.
Taxes.
As 'tis said, death and taxes come to all men: (and it's easier to evade death than it is to evade taxes!). Taxation is incredibly complicated, and the proliferations of wherefores, herebys, under these circumstances, wherewithalls, and howsoevers that populate taxation documents leaves most Corwythians no further enlightened about the whole process. It is best simply to hand over what the Councillor of the Exchequer says you owe, when he says you owe it.
